Trumpeter and composer Sam Ritchie has teamed up with Tim van Veen for a new collaborative project, Milk & Cheese, whose debut EP First Feelings is out now.

The five-track release blends soulful jazz with laid-back beats, pairing Ritchie’s distinctive brass with van Veen’s production to create something warm, melodic, and unhurried. Across its short running time the EP moves through tracks including “Last Summer”, “Apricity”, “Transient”, the title cut “First Feelings”, and “Open Ending”, each leaning into the duo’s relaxed, groove-led sound.
